Fashion photographers are not only photographers, they are also directors, stylist and even writers. lifestyle photography features clothes and even products like perfume on a model at fitting location. Fashion photographers need to work closely with designers or labels to get the photographs that they want. Some photographers would take photography classes on fashion photography to widen their understanding on the subject.

When looking for photography classes on fashion photography, the safest places to go to are photography colleges and lifestyle schools. Photography colleges have different classes for specific fields of photography, you can inquire about fashion photography and take that class alone. In fashion school, they also incorporate fashion photography so that their graduates will have an idea of how to get photos that best fits how they want their designs to be portrayed. If you have access or invitations to big fashion shows like fashion week, you should take advantage of this. You can get a lot of really good shots in cat walks and ramps. You can also try the clubs and places that have fashion shows for upcoming, independent designers. Working closely with models will also help you get a good job and exposure in the fashion scene. You can ask them to pose for you and work on your skills as a fashion photographer.
